Social Sunday

We have changed feeding times for Tilly and Blue so they have to wait until 8am for their breakfast. This is aimed at discouraging them from becoming active too early so they get fed. They also have a late lunch and late dinner and have quickly adjusted to this change. I became suspicious when they were very quiet so went looking for them. They were both trying to get the bath plug. A few minutes later Blue was guarding it from Tilly. She lost interest and played with another toy instead.

I spent the morning fixing the blind in our downstairs bathroom and cleaning the windows. I also tied up a couple of the bromeliads which had fallen over in the overnight rain. Yesterday I fixed a loose join in the underground irrigation system. When I opened the control panel to turn it on, I discovered a mass of ants and eggs. I had previously found a similar mass on top of the swimming pool control panel. It is time to get someone to deal with our ant invasion.

Anita had organised lunch at a seafood restaurant with some of our friends. She thought it appropriate to celebrate the equinox and mark the beginning of the days getting longer. We enjoyed wonderful food, great company, and a good view over the Broadwater. A couple of our friends came home with us to visit Tilly and Blue.
