Brisbane Trip
I had another physio appointment in Brisbane this morning so arranged to call in to see a friend on my way home. She kindly provided lunch and we had a good catchup. The drive home was in pouring rain but there were no major holdups.
Unfortunately Leo the poodle had to be put to sleep. After two surgeries to deal with his femur falling out of the hip socket, there was no sign of improvement so he went back to the specialist clinic. When he was scanned an aortic clot was identified and despite blood thinning medication he made no improvement.
I needed to do something practical when I got home so removed a fixed mirror we want to replace as it has been damaged since we moved in to this house. I covered one corner with tape to minimise the spread of shards of glass. Once I worked out how it had been installed I was able to pry the rest of the mirror away from the frame without having to reduce it to small pieces. The frame is ugly so I will try to pry the timber from the plasterboard wall without causing too much damage to the wall. If I can do that we will be able to order a more attractive replacement. Unfortunately the mirror seems to have been installed before the tiling was done, so the replacement will have to be made to fit the space.
Anita couldn't find Tilly so I had to down tools and help look for her. I found her sleeping in Blue's bed in his crate - they share everything except their food. I brushed him and left him chewing on a toy but Tilly decided he needed more cleaning.
