Breakfast by the Nerang River
We left our little critters alone at home while we had breakfast at Budds Beach on the other side of the Nerang River. Bumbles is one of our favourite little cafes and it has the benefit of being just across the road from the river. We ordered take away and were lucky to find an empty table so could enjoy our breakfast with the view on a very quiet day with no wind. No dogs are allowed in the riverside park, but they can be walked along the footpath so next time we will bring Blue.
Back at home I cut to size the acrylic sheet for the outside of our new security door. The inside sheet is to stop the cat from scratching at the flyscreen to get out, and the outside sheet is to stop the dog from scratching to get back in. I need to make another trip to Bunnings for rivets as the frame of the security door is tubular steel and I could not manage to screw in the stainless screws. I have various rivets but of course not enough of the appropriate size.
I tried to post using a new version of Blogger but it has two problems I need to overcome. The first is I can't get my recent photos on Google Photos, only on Gallery which is not recognised by Blogger - wasted an hour trying to solve this! The second issue is I cannot enlarge the screen by simply using two fingers as I can on this old version. This is important as I am using tablet not a laptop or computer. This old version disappears in June so I need to get these problems sorted - note to self - talk to my tech friend. When I use my laptop to post on this Blog any spelling mistakes are corrected, but that is not happening when I use the tablet.
My nextdoor neighbour met Blue for the first time and was totally smitten by him. He is still at that stage of being very clingy to me so we are going to practise some social distancing to reduce his separation anxiety. Tilly took on the sheep which is nearly as big as her. She was sitting on Anita's lap but as soon as I took out my knitting she raced across the couch to get into my knitting bag. Blue is half in and half out of the Aldi bed that was at my feet. He is so tired he hasn't realised I have moved away from him.
