Dart Board

I hung a dart board on the back of the door to my tool room. We must have bought this board more than 10 years ago but have not previously hung it or used it. There are rules about the height it should be above the ground but I decided to hang it lower as the standard height was set for men who are taller, and because we don't need to follow their rules! Our next challenge will be how to insert the foils into the ends of the darts. Let the challenge begin!

We started the day with a short walk around our area. I asked my neighbour what he was planning to do for the day and he said he was going to Bunnings to buy a wheelbarrow. I told him I had one he could have so drove out to the stables to pick it up for him. On the way home I saw a motorcycle police officer who had pulled over a rider, presumably to issue a speeding ticket. No random breath tests or speed cameras are being operated by the police, but obviously they are not ignoring idiots flaunting the rules. All other traffic was well behaved.

As I had to drive past the waste transfer station on my way to the stables, I loaded up our rusty outdoor furniture to put in the metal recycling bin. At the weighbridge there was easily 1.5m between me and the council officer sitting behind a grille. There is a second checkpoint where other staff ask what is in the vehicle before it is dumped. I saw the female officer approach the driver's window of the car in front of me, bend down to speak to the driver, and talk to him up close, no more than half a metre from the driver's face. When it was my turn I kept my window closed, but partly opened the rear window and shouted to her that I was going to metal recycling and pointed to the bin. Later I rang the council and explained what I had observed and was thanked for reporting this so the supervisor could investigate and set up a different procedure.

Anita put all of our glassware through the dishwasher and cleaned the cupboard. There are plenty more cupboards to keep her occupied for a few days. I have all but finished cleaning and touching up the paintwork on the bifold doors. All hinges and rollers have been lubricated with Inox, and the floor track cleaned with stainless steel wool. I need some exterior grade sealer to fill a gap under the timber sill to stop further water damage, so will make a night trip to Bunnings when there are hardly any customers.
