Rest Day in Coonabarabran

We did a shopping run to the local Woolies. I took Blue for a walk around town while Anita shopped. He was a hit with some older locals who were keen to pat him. The Commonwealth Bank building caught my eye.

After the shopping was unpacked I went back to town to visit the shops. I need to buy a new dog bed as Blue demolished the bed in the Toyota. We must have been driving and assumed any noises were him playing with Tilly. There are no pet shops in town and Crazy Sam's doesn't stock dog beds at this time of year so we have to give him a blanket to sleep on.

Blue and Tilly played outside in their crate in the shade. He gets a bit rough sometimes and I have to stop him. I wish she would bite him to make him realise he is hurting her. She can't be too bothered by his antics as she initiates a lot of the games by throwing herself in front of him on her back.

Another two Roadie friends stopped here for the night so there were six of us for sundowners. There are two caravan parks in town, both next to the busy Newell Highway. We are only 50m from trucks travelling at 70kph downhill towards the 50kph zone. We hear them pass but at the other caravan park the trucks come down a hill and around a bend, so they are noisy for longer.
