Port Vincent
We all had to leave the Moonta Bay Caravan Park by 10am, but the one way circuit causes issues. We were held up for 10 minutes waiting for other caravanners to finish hooking up. There was no room to pass so I jokingly told them I would stand and watch closely, which would be very off putting. They laughed and appreciated the fact we kept our distance and didn't hassle them.
We had no rain today and even enjoyed brief periods of sunshine. Our first stop was Moonta to buy Cornish pasties for our dinner. We then stopped in Kadina as I needed a couple of things for my Melbourne Cup outfit. Anita bumped into Beccy and Libby shopping in Woolworths, buying supplies for our pancake breakfast tomorrow.
The trip from Moonta to Port Vincent is only 100kms. We dawdled along near empty roads and arrived in Port Vincent about 12.30pm, in time to order a seafood basket from the kiosk. We parked beside the Institute building without knowing that would be where our concert was to be held.
Lunch was good but the battered prawns and calamari were too greasy. Tilly and Blue enjoyed leftover butterfish and calamari with the greasy batter removed. We walked around the few shops waiting for our 2pm check-in.
There are lots of other people staying here at the Port Vincent Caravan Park, and some want to see Beccy. I just tell them I don't know where she is and explain the concerts here are not open to the public.
I got into fancy dress for Halloween along with many other Roadies. Our musicians also had on their Halloween outfits. We were treated to a very funny night with our entertainers singing songs they wish they had written. Libby sang wonderful jazz numbers wearing a beard and axe in her head.
My devil horns flashed red. Amber Joy Poulton dressed as Shania Slain, while our Gold Coast friends got into the spirit of things.
