Coonabarabran
After farewelling our Roadie friends we hit the road headed for Coonabarabran. For lunch we stopped under the shade of trees beside a green reserve at Gilgandra, where I was able to walk Blue on prickle free grass.
Some roads are rough enough to be signed with reduced speed limits. Other stretches were top quality surfaces. We encountered more roadwork but appreciated this needs to be done to improve the tired roads damaged by trucks, sun and rain.
At the Getaway Tourist Park we were able to choose our own sites and found two that offer good afternoon shade. We will stay here for three nights so unhooked and set up the larger critter crate outside. Tilly likes being out there but chases ants and anything else that moves. When put inside she opted for the bathroom sink.
