Beach Walk
It has been warm and sunny all day. After doing some chores five of us went for a walk on the beach in a south westerly direction away from the main centre. Blue came with us and had a great time running in the sand, shallow water and piles of drying seagrass. I have been waiting for a warm day to give him a bath so he may as well get very grubby first.
I found a couple of shark eggs in the seagrass. Most sharks give birth to their young but some deposit eggs. The eggs are protected by a leathery spiral casing. The spiral shape helps wedge the egg in rocks under water, but some are dislodged and washed ashore.
Washing, drying and combing Blue takes about two hours, including setting up the outside shower for warm water. He was very tired from his activities so easy to manage. He still has soft puppy fur but this will become more wiry as he gets older.
Tilly gets a bit frantic when she can't go outside and do what Blue does. There are too many dogs here to walk her on a lead, particularly as some dogs are allowed off their leads. Instead she visited friends in their motorhome where she could stretch her legs and explore.
The concert tonight was songs requested by Roadies. It was funny and the singing was great. The final song was Amazing Grace in which all the entertainers were joined by one of our Roadies who is a former nun with an amazing voice. It was very special and I was surprised Beccy knew all the words.
