Back to Adelaide
We packed up to drive back to Adelaide via Strathalbyn. The direct route involves crossing the Murray River at Wellington. There was only a short wait for the ferry which runs 24 hours each day. On the other side there is an old court house sometimes trading as a cafe.
There is another wine growing region around Langhorne Creek a 15 minute drive from Strathalbyn. The scenery in the area is attractive. We were lucky to find a parking spot just off High St which is an historic area of Strathalbyn which is classified as an historic town. Next time we will stay for a couple of days to see all of the town. London House is now an antiques shop but was originally built for a drapery dealer. It is very interesting architecturally.
We had lunch at the Appleseed Cafe then took in the sights of High St. There are several antique shops in town.
I spotted this teddy in one of the antique shops that reminded me of Blue.
At the showground caravan park we took Blue for exercise on the main arena. He loves this toy given to him by his aunty.
