Anita's Birthday

I took Anita for birthday breakfast at Ginger's Coffee Studio on Goodwood Road, a short walk from our caravan park. There is an unfinished mural on the outside wall of the cafe that shows great potential. Across the road there is a mural on the side of the fruit and vegetable shop. Coffee and food were good but still not up to the standard of Hot Shott on the Gold Coast. The local butcher is popular with a constant queue of 8 to 10 people outside the shop, with a limit of three customers inside.

The temperature was forecast to reach the high 20s so I put a shade panel on the side of the van that faces west. Tilly and Blue spent lots of time outside in their large cage or on long leads. There is only one other dog in the park at the moment so it is quite safe for them. Hugo ignores both of our critters, and pretends they are not there. I washed Blue and gave him a number one cut as the temperature is predicted to be in the high 30s for the next few days. He can have a proper cut when he gets home.

For dinner we went to Soi38 Regional Thai Restaurant, named after a famous street food market in Bangkok. Some of the food was really good while other dishes not so, but we had a good evening. We asked the staff to turn down the music which they did then took away the offending speaker - a benefit of wireless connections.

Just as we were all settled in bed Tilly discovered new mischief. She managed to get from the benchtop to behind the curtains on the security door. After doing this twice I removed the cable from the bottom of the curtains so they did not form a cat hammock, or a way for her to hurt herself.
