Arid Lands Garden
Anita did a major clean and tidy of the van, so I thought I had better clean the inside of the Toyota. I took it through the car wash when we arrived in Port Augusta to clean off the dust. We keep expecting rain to give the Bushtracker a wash, but so far only a few drops have fallen.
I took myself to the Arid Lands Botanic Garden. Entry is free and the garden is well supported by volunteers. The cafe was very crowded and it was over half an hour wait for my coffee. I just walked around parts of the garden rather than wait with the crowd.
Just as we were leaving to have dinner at the Standpipe Golf Motel, the rain started and is continuing. We go to this restaurant when passing through Port Augusta for delightful Indian food. The wind is blustery at 30kph but the forecast is for a fine but cold day tomorrow.
