Ayres Rock Campground

We had bubble and squeak for breakfast made from the huge amount of vegetables on my dinner plate last night. I could not eat even one quarter of the serve at the tavern, but they were not wasted.

The two camels appeared to be playing a game that involved trying to bite or mouth the other camel's front foot.

This view of Mt Conner is from a lookout on the drive from Gahn to the Ayres Rock Campground at Yulara. The "resort" is about 8kms from the Rock. Our site faces north so we get the hot afternoon sun in the west on the door side of our van. I decided to put the awning out, even though it has not been closing properly. It is pegged down and hopefully we will not get any strong winds.

From the lookout at the campground we can see Uluru and The Olgas (now known as Kata Tjuta). We are staying here four nights so didn't bother driving to either of these sights today. One morning we will make the effort and get there in time for sunrise, and make sure we view it at sunset.
