Naughty Blue Emerges

Today Blue showed his very naughty side - he used his new teeth to pull out lots of small pieces of lambswool from one of Anita's slippers.

Up until now we haven't worried when he takes shoes, socks, cleaning cloths or even my down jacket, because he did no damage to any of them. He has previously played with the slippers. I'm not sure what got into him today but we are approaching a full moon. I was out for a couple of hours this afternoon and he was frenetic when I got home. I don't encourage this crazy behaviour but it took a long time for him to calm down. Maybe it was revenge or perhaps he was just entertaining himself. Here he is being delightfully contented with Tilly. She emerged from under the doona at the end of the bed after he basically laid on top of her.

At the markets this morning he was well behaved and discovered an appetite for water melon. He is bigger than another 5 month old toy poodle at the market, but a lot smaller than this big bear. He is reluctant to walk along the footpath beside the river park so we ended up carrying him. On the way home we stopped by the river and he tolerated three young children patting him. I took him down to the river park again this afternoon but he sits like a concrete statue and won't budge until I walk away from him, turn around and tell him to come. He runs up to me and sits, but still doesn't want to walk. He says hello to the dogs so is not afraid of them.

My afternoon outing was to the gun club for some practice. There is a COVID stategy in place so I had to sign in on an additional register and have my temperature taken. Very few patrons attend the club after 2pm on a Sunday so I had a range to myself. I found I was consistently hitting the area above and to the left of the bullseye. I researched the cause of this and it appears to be some anticipation of the recoil of the weapon. I also found that my multifocal lenses make it difficult to see the front sight and line it up with the rear sight. More practice is required and I should go when one of the experienced shooters can give me some pointers.

On Saturday morning we walked to Chevron Island to have breakfast with our friends at Alfons Cafe. We didn't stay too long as there were lots of customers and some wanted to sit down and not just get take away. In the afternoon we both did some tedious administrative jobs - I also had to do some paperwork for my father.
