Caravan Trip is Happening
Today we had a long quiet time in bed with Blue and Tilly. He was exhausted because I took him to a juvenile dog training class last night. The large park had lots of dogs in different classes under lights. It must have been daunting for him. Our class was in a small fenced area and there were five other puppies and one trainer. At one stage he was trembling so I crouched down to comfort him. After a walk around the outside of the park we tried to teach the puppies to drop from a sitting position. Blue is no good at this so I will have to practise with him at home. We will go once a week until we take off in the Bushtracker.
This evening we received a message that our Aussie Road Crew Tour will happen as planned at the end of the month, Many Roadies are headed for the border to get across before the deadline. We will spend a few days with local friends at Mapleton on the Sunshine Coast before heading for Childers. Hopefully we will have time to get Blue and Tilly used to caravan travel.
We had lunch with friends at the Salt Cafe because we can take Blue there. Fortunately the food was much better than the last time we were there. I bathed Blue this morning to make him presentable. This is him obsessively watching to the west as he could smell something none of us humans could detect.
After lunch Anita went into the Market to buy a couple of things so I waited outside with Blue. I was going to meet Anita by the side entrance but Blue was very reluctant to walk away from the door he saw her enter. He waited so patiently for her to appear and when she did he was as excited as if she had been away for hours.
I am making slow progress tidying up the garage, but managed to install this hanging arrangement for our ladder so I stop tripping over it.
Yesterday I took Blue to a couple of pet shops trying to buy him a small muzzle and boots to protect his feet when in the outback - no luck on either count so I will have to try the internet.
