Mother's Day
Anita woke on Mother's Day to find her least favourite fur kid had weed and pooped in the bedroom! I took both of them out to the Jeep for a spell in the crate. Our timing was off as our rear neighbour walked past with her young daughter and six month old poodle. Blue couldn't decide who was more exciting - the girl or the dog. After they had moved on two other neighbours were passing and stopped to see the puppy and kitten. This mother/daughter team live a few doors up the road and their daughter/sister lives the other way down the street. Having a cuddle with a wriggling Blue was the highlight of their morning.
Finally I had Blue and Tilly in the crate together for ten minutes then took them back inside. Tomorrow Blue has to go to the vet for his vaccination. I expect he will make a racket all the way there and back.
We left the two of them in the bathroom while we went for a walk. There were lots of groups gathered for Mother's Day at the river park at the end of our street, but they were keeping their distance from each other. It was another warm mostly sunny day in paradise.
I went to Bunnings early and was delighted to see very few people in the store. Anita asked me to buy some herbs but I didn't realise I would have to plant them. After my limited gardening efforts I persuaded Anita to come for a swim. I had raised the temperature to 32 degrees which was pleasant. We let Blue wander around the pool with both of us keeping him in sight.
The timber slats needed a second coat of primer/sealer because there was extensive discolouration with the first coat. The final coat will be a fairly light colour and I don't want that to look patchy.
