Entertaining Day

We discovered Blue had peed on the bathroom floor next to Tilly's kitty litter tray so moved his puppy pee pad next to her tray. So far as I know he hasn't used the pee pad of his own accord, but will use it if I put him on it at the right time. I have been to three Bunnings stores trying to buy a second pee pad but the shelves are bare.

Since I used the first folding pet enclosure to barricade the upstairs balcony of our stairs, I found another one to set up in the lounge room. Blue doesn't like the canvas and flyscreen folding crates, possibly because he can't see out of them very well. At night time he is OK as soon as I turn off the light as he can still hear me close by, and there is no issue about him not being able to see me. I think he was raised in a wire crate so is taking time to adjust to the soft crates. This enclosure is left open so they can both go in to play and get used to the space before we confine them in there for brief periods. We will be able to take it with us when we finally go caravaning. There are good reasons for leaving them in a crate or enclosure - I just caught him pulling my hall rug apart starting with the fringe!

I had to do a fair bit of running around today. Bunnings at Burleigh was ridiculously crowded. They have increased the number of people allowed per aisle from 4 to 6 and there was no counting of customers going in or leaving like at the Southport store. I also ended up at Robina Bunnings where the 4 people per aisle rule still applies and there was no crowding. My local Spotlight is out of the wool I need for my knitting project but I found plenty at Burleigh. I also had a good browse at two large pet shops, neither of which had more than three customers.

This afternoon I started the mammoth task of sorting out my tools. My collection started from when I was first pulling apart and reassembling my bicycle at age 12, extended when I turned a pair of skates into a skateboard, and continued through my motorbike phase when different tools were needed. House renovations necessitated more tools, then there was the folly of the old MGA motor car. Over time spanners and sockets changed to metric so I have a near redundant collection of imperial tools. Often I needed two of some tools as we lived between two houses and never seemed to have the right tool where it was needed. Consequently I have a couple of hundred screwdrivers, a dozen hammers, loads of cutting instruments etc. I am grouping them in one place - except for those that have to go with the Bushtracker - and those that belong in the Jeep - and those that are essential for the Toyota!

I have several videos of Blue and Tilly playing but haven't worked out how to get them from my phone to the computer to put on this blog. Photos on my phone can simply be viewed on the computer. I select the good ones and save them on the laptop. Videos are too big to send to the computer by email but I am still working on this. Instead I took a couple of stills from one of today's videos. This baby play structure has been a great investment.
