Blue To The Vet

This morning Blue was booked in for his parvo virus vaccination. Attending our vet is very different these days. After arriving in the car park I had to telephone and tell the staff where I was so they could come and collect Blue. Peter the vet spoke to me by phone while I stayed in the car. Peter had to remove his earpiece when he was listening to Blue's heart. Blue passed the assessment but Peter noted a couple of his baby teeth cross over. In normal times I might have asked whether Blue should have braces, but I refrained.

I kick my shoes off beside Blue's crate which is next to the bed. He makes sure he knows if I am going anywhere. His favourite toy is the cable tie so I made him a toy based on cable ties which he loves.

I made progress sorting out my various consumables and tools. Unfortunately the job is not finished but close to it. The seat slats are all primed ready for the top coat and I measured and cut some timber inserts to provide a backing for acrylic "windows" for our gatehouse. I was able to set up my circular saw on the floor and connect it to the vacuum cleaner so the dust is sucked straight into the cleaner.

This afternoon Blue had a play date with the two dogs that live opposite. He behaved appropriately trying to get the other dogs to chase him. He then had a chance to meet my immediate neighbours and their two boys. While I was chatting to them other neighbours walked past with their dogs. It took me a second to realise the two families have never met, even though there is only one other house between their respective homes. I made the introductions and left them all to get to know each other.
