Painting
I alternated between painting the front fence and scanning photos retrieved from my father's house so that I will have a digital copy available to share with family members. Our house faces north and there is noticeable fading on the northern walls. The left over paint from 6 years ago was fine. I had forgotten how tedious the task of cleaning the paint rollers can be! All day the noise of concrete pumping dominated our suburb as the nearest construction site geared up.
I made more room in the garage by moving the pool cover and roller into the back garden. That cover helps keep the heat in the pool and is essential now the overnight temperatures are dropping. During our morning walk I showed Anita this lovely succulent garden which we are considering for the garden bed between the pool and rear fence.
After dinner I made a very simple chocolate mousse based on dextrose - this is a sweetener that does not contain fructose. Dextrose can be hard to find but is usually available in liquor shops that sell home brewing ingredients.
