Flu Shot Day
Our day started with a trip to the doctor for our flu shots. Anita kept reminding me that we were supposed to take it easy after the injection but I did manage to finish the final coat of paint on our bench seat. The left over door paint came in handy.
A job that wasn't too taxing was cleaning paint off the bathroom door hinges and lubricating all door fittings. I also finished scanning my father's collection of photographs. This old Mayflower was the first car my parents bought in Australia in about 1961. Naively they loaded up four kids and drove from Melbourne to Adelaide to visit my mother's cousin, oblivious to the road conditions in the height of summer!. The engine overheated and the head gasket blew so Graham fixed it beside the road. He used to smoke cigarettes so my job was to peel the tissue paper off the back of the foil wrapped around the smokes. He used the foil to repair the gasket - several times - until we limped into Adelaide.
