First Major Job Completed

I spent most of the day finishing cleaning the fittings on the bifold doors. There are 17 hinges etc on each set of doors so 34 in total. A few months ago I tried to buy a new hinge as some are missing washers and end pieces. Stegbar appears to have been the manufacturer of the doors but they don't sell fittings and told me I wouldn't be able to buy replacements. I decided I could buy or manufacture the missing washers and end plugs, but maintaining the fittings is important as the newer models won't fit the recesses. It was a tedious job but the improvement is rewarding having removed all excess paint and varnish.

Anita continued her pantry cleaning and reorganising task, saving some of the high shelves for when I can help her. It was another lovely day so we did some exercises in the pool then I went for a short walk. I passed a succulent garden which has given me ideas for the garden bed beside our pool. We had the gardener remove the hedge as it kept dropping leaves into the pool and grew too fast.

Before I do any more knitting I need to darn in the loose ends otherwise this will become an overwhelming task!
